Welcome to Beston's No Holds Barred! The page was originally known as Thingvold's No Holds Barred. It was started years ago by Shogun of Harlem as a joke in dedication of the Internet's greatest 'Trash Talker', Shaun Andrew Thingvold, then years later the site was rededicated to Australian MMA legend Luke Beston. I want to make it clear that the only affiliation Shaun has with this page is when he sends us an e-mail or posts on the forum. If you are looking for him then leave a message for him on the 'Message Board'. Other than that we can not help you in any attempt to get a hold of him.

The news provided here is a little different. There are tons of news sources on the internet and if you don't know where to go then check out our links page. What we attempt to bring here is stuff that is not found at other places, but what we think might be interesting for Martial Art fans (and a little funny). Thanks for supporting us!

I guess Miller proved that KTFO's Holla C was mistaken.

Holla C had claimed that the check from KTFO to Miller was a good check. Miller claimed that it bounced.

Fight pic

Fernando Vargas returns to the ring after a year and a half layoff to fight Ray "Hallelujah" Joval. This looks to be one of those fights where a top name, who's been off for awhile, takes on a rugged but not too threatening opponent in order to shake off the ring rust. This will probably be a comfortable decision for Vargas and then he will start calling out big names again.

Craig, clearly, this is not the way to represent our beloved sport. I, and the rest of the close-knit MMA community at large, implore you to discuss this matter with Dana in a discrete and professional manner.

Calling Dana a criminal is a serious matter that could reap grave repercussions for you, Craig, so please refrain from making accusations that you cannot substantiate. If not for Dana or for me, then do it for the sport, which we love more than life itself.

Finally, attacking the UFC by casting its future in doubt makes no sense if you expect to gave an ongoing business relationship with them. Back in Johannesburg, my Pops had a saying for moments like this. "Never beat the negroes that prepare your dinner, son--they'll poison you." Fúck with the UFC, Craig, and you'll end up dumped in the desert, which would be less than tremendous.

Another MMA company bites the dust! MMA Gold, the brainchild of undefeated New England heavyweight MMA champion Kirik Jenness, is no more. Visitors to the former MMA Gold website are now being redirected to iFight.tv, which appears to be the latest business venture of the aspiring MMA mogul. LukeBeston.NET will be watching closely and report on iFight as soon as their website is completed. We can only hope that this new scheme, unlike the others, is "good for the sport".

Fight pics

Manny Pacquiao vs Erik Morales - I'm going to go with Pac Man, but this should be a close fight. I've got the feeling that Morales will stylistically match up better with Pac than Barrera did even though Morales is coming off a loss to Barrera. I don't expect to see Morales go down from one of Pac's sneaky, quick shots like so many other fighters have. Look for 12 rounds of action and a close possibly disputed decision. I go with Pacquiao because of how well he has fought of late and becuase a close decision should favor the popular champ. In the other fight I'm going to pick champ Martin Castillo over Eric Morel although I'm not real familiar with either.

By the way, Akebono won his first K1 fight.

Dude I was trying to stay neutral on this issue. I was trying to defend you and Miller at the same time as this is a misunderstanding. It still could be. I called you to find out the real story rather than talking shit about KTFO or Miller online. I wanted the story. I emailed Miller to contact me about this deal and my charity event that he wants to teach for. I have nothing against either one of you guys until right now.

I think it is VERY shitty what you did to Miller with his girlfriend bro. Seriously. I have no issues with you personally, but have lost a lot of respect for you in the friend/trust area. You considered Jason a good friend, correct? You told me on the phone. I dont know of ANY of my friends that I would fuck their girlfriends if they propositioned me. I had one of my best friend's ex-girlfriends proposition me and I called her a slut and walked away to tell my friend. Why didnt you show Miller that same respect? If you guys were so called friends you would have shut the door and called Jason to get his girlfriend because she is trying to get some with you. At least that is what friends do. What you did was very low my friend. I think both of you guys are acting like kids with this whole degrading each other thing online. Just my two cents worth. After a billion problems with "HOLLA C" the total retard (IMO) THIEF, LIAR, and HOMOSEXUAL who propositioned me- CRAIG FIELDS CEO of KTFO. I finally told the guy to shit in his hat.

Here is the situation pretty much in it's entirity, which since they do sponsor this board, I'm sure it will be taken down by moderators asap and posted all over another dot com about the fight sport.

WAY BEFORE KTFO, I met this asshole at one of the UFCs while I was with my exgirlfriend and he immediately started rambling about sponsoring me, yadddy yaddy yaddy. Eventually he called up and instead of sponsoring me he sold me on the idea of getting an apartment and getting people to come out to Vegas to train with me, which I had already considered, but hadn't had the capital to start up yet. He said he would take care of everything monetarily and I would put in the work of the training camp. He came out to Vegas and tried to have me stay in his hotel the whole time, which I decided against, thankfully.

He buys some furniture, but his business's credit won't pass the credit check to get an apartment, so he tries to con me into doing it all in my name. I say "Fuck that." and since he already has bought furniture, he tries to use that against me, like I ASKED for the furniture. I told him that that wasn't the deal and he needs to get something going with this, or I was out on the street with a bunch of furniture. We couldn't reach an agreement and ended up in a shouting match over the phone, a few actually and hung up on each other many times.

Fast forward many months. I guess Craig gets his mom's credit card again and starts up KTFO promotions. He calls me up apologizing and offers to sponsor me for my december fight in Super Brawl, to which I agree. He tells me the deal, I agree, and he sends over a check to hawaii, which I cash to use for expenses on the trip. Due to a huge gash above my left eye, the doctors won't clear me to fight, so I call Craig to tell the bad news. He says "No problem, big dog! Just keep that cash and that will be for later, just wear my stuff to the event, and take care of that eye." Which I did, and thanked him.

Fast forward again to last week. The check cashing company calls telling me that the check bounced and we are both liable for the funds. I call HOLLA C and he first gives me some line like "What? That's ridiculous! Let me call these idiots." He calls them and later I find out that he tells them that he stopped payment on the check because I wasn't fighting, which is bullshit because it came back clearly marked "INSUFFICIENT FUNDS". Then I call again, and he says "MY lawyer is on it." AGAIN A LIE.

Now he knows I'm taping him and won't admit what he said right after the doctor didn't clear me, and is just ducking the check cashing place, ruining his undoubtedly terrible credit anyway.

Now if I need to, I'll just pay off the check cashing place to save my own credit, and sue the idiot, which will take forever, and cost a fortune, but whatever, just keep buying his retarded t-shirts and feed into a company headed by a fanboy that wants to get as close as possible to fighters so that he can cream his pants everytime one of us tells him he's a piece of shit.

Update on The Lion

A few weeks ago, a post was made here expressing concern that Tom Lowe, also known as The Lion, had been swept to his death in the horrific tsunami that took the lives of so many. The internet buzz was that he was in the area of the tsunami decompressing after completion of his latest novel, The Lion of Kabul, when the killer wave hit.

Deadbeat Dad trying to sue the UFC

This news is a little old, but we at Beston's find it funny that a person who does not pay child support has the nerve to sue someone else. Here is the post >Chris Champagne AKA RedDog24 made on the UG.

LOS ANGELES - A possible lawsuit claims the creators of "The Ultimate Fighter" stole the idea for the hit reality show. The lawsuit will be filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by Christopher Michael Champagne shortly after the shows big Pay Per View event, proving the damages for his stolen intellectual property and will seek in upwards of $10 million in damages and all profits from the show.

Dana White Vise President of Zuffa LLC. The company that owns the hit mixed martial arts events “The Ultimate Fighting Championships” and Spike TV, are named in the possible lawsuit.

Champagne claims he pitched the idea for a show based around mixed martial arts to both Dana White and Spike TV back in 2003. He wrote registered and was moving forward on making his dreams a reality and like that taken away. I wont take it laying down Mr. Champagne says its time the little guy fights back. The network wasn't interested, or at least it seemed because Mr. Champagne never heard from either of the parties mentioned above and still to this day ignore his every attempt to reach them, however if things have just been over looked Champagne says he’s still waiting for them to do the right thing and contact him ASAP.

"The Ultimate Fighter" first aired Jan 2005 and following the final episode on Spike TV there will be a PPV event featuring the WINNER of the reality series.

This plays out like a bad episode of Jerry Springer. Chris has two kids with resident OG attention whore Annabelle, who has been trying to get him to pay support for years. Hey Chris, maybe you can help Annabelle out and take care of your responsbilities before you start suing people. Or perhaps, you can pay Muhsin the money you owe him for the training he gave you and skipped out on.

I recently started a live in program at our gym for aspiring fighters that are looking to train full time and become pro fighters. Chris was one of the first fighters I brought in.

Our live in program includes training in all classes,(jiujitsu, wrestling, boxing, muay thai) and a dorm area to sleep in.(4 training sessiond per day) Our price for this is only $250.00 per month and we usually ask for 2 months in advanced for security purposes. We made an exception for Chris.

When Chris showed up at our gym to train he did not have a penny to pay training/ live in fees. But again he talked a good game so we let him in and made an agreement to get him set up with a job and as soon as he had a little money he would begin to pay us back. Well, we got him a job and he started to make a little money so I asked that he begin to pay so he could get up to date on his rent. Chris agreed and said he would get the money to me as soon as possible.

That weekend I went out of town for a fight and when I got back into town Chris had moved out and I have not heard from him since. So, Chris recieved 2 months of training, water, electricity, toilet paper, etc. and never paid me a penny.

My advice to any gym looking for fighter DO NOT LET THIS GUY IN. In my eyes he is nothing but a crook and I have absolutely no respect for him or his skills as a fighter.

IM BEYOND SHOCKED, to see a thread like this posted about me!

To think I was going to be nice and not even say anything about the situation but then you come on here and TALK ALL KINDS OF BS!

Dude what the fuck is your problem?

First things first, I had a great time training with you and your team and wouldn't for a second be disappointed for spending my time and energy to help you and your guys as well as myself prepare for the future.

However when I was told I could come here you said and I will post below that you had everything I needed to live and could also hook me up with work to cover cost of living, correct?

Ok so I show up and the so called live in dorm area is a piece of wood in the rafters of the gym, I'm talking no bed no nothing for the entire time I lived there. I asked and asked for a bed and was told day in and day out that he was going to buy one and that I should be tough and live with it. I mean there wasn't even a latter or anything I had to climb the wall to get to bed and god for bid I had to pee at night it was a mother @ucker to get down this thing at night. And as for work never did he even try to get me work as a matter of fact I found myself work and was barley making enough to eat on much less pay rent but Muhsin was cool about it so he seemed. To make a little extra cash while I was there I brought with me a case of supplements that went for $35 a bottle, I let Muhsin sell these for me to help cover the cost of living and even though he had sold several bottles and never even offered to give me the cash I simply wrote it off as payment and though everything was fine and didn't leave the gym until the lack of sleep and basically being completely run down mentally, physically, spiritually add up and took its toll. Muhsin and I had many talks and he knew the situation was hard on me, I had my shoulder popped out and sleeping on the floor was just killing me not to mention the constant pressure from Muhsin to wake up and train in the mornings, I trainned my ass of 4+ hours a day and if I need to rest in one day then I felt I should be able to but if I didn't then I would get yelled at and threatened that I wouldn't compete or would have move out if I didn't want to train, well bro I know my body and with the situation you had me living in I needed a day off here and there and IM sorry you felt I was such a bad guy that you had to come on here and like this about me. If you feel I owe you money for sleeping on a piece of wood for two months then by all means let me know and I will make it up to you minus the cost of product you sold for me...

Well, that was a surprise! It's rare and refreshing to see an MMA fighter who can take some heat. Freeman's okay in my book (not that we're going to start going easy on him).

Freeman's descent into madness, idiocy continues.

Regional-level English MMA fighter and self-styled author Ian Freeman continued to showcase the dangers of being an uneducated steroid abuser with low self-esteem and eerily realistic naturally-simulated woman's breasts yesterday, with a post on the infamous "Underground" forum.

Prefacing his inevitable humiliation by butchering a commonly-used phrase about laundry, an area he is clearly not familiar with, "The Machine" began a diatribe against an entity he had rightly come to see as a diametrically opposed nemesis: popular and professional MMA clothing company "Sprawl".

After translating his post using AltaVista.com's helpful "working class to English" filter, even forum members conditioned to applaud any behavior by those with a certain color of username reacted with disdain and disbelief over Freeman's claims; it was as if he had just ruined a particularly successful dinner party by urinating on the carpet while singing a childishly rude song of the sort only miners and other menial laborers find amusing.

"The Machine" appeared to base his complaint around the fact that the owner of Sprawl refused to pay him retroactively for wearing a pair of his company's shorts, having concluded that being sent an item of clothing was some form of legally binding agreement which entitled him to financial compensation.

Freeman has yet to reply to the numerous and varied messages of ridicule and disbelief left by forum members and professional fighters alike, although he has admitted that his decision to become a fighter was motivated by a similar sort of bullying. We here at LukeBeston.net call upon the MMA fans of the entire world (and ghosts who like MMA) to do their best to further embarrass and torment Ian "The Machine" Freeman, hoping that doing so will somehow reverse or undo his decision to fight and consequently force him into retirement.
