Welcome to Beston's No Holds Barred! The page was originally known as Thingvold's No Holds Barred. It was started years ago by Shogun of Harlem as a joke in dedication of the Internet's greatest 'Trash Talker', Shaun Andrew Thingvold, then years later the site was rededicated to Australian MMA legend Luke Beston. I want to make it clear that the only affiliation Shaun has with this page is when he sends us an e-mail or posts on the forum. If you are looking for him then leave a message for him on the 'Message Board'. Other than that we can not help you in any attempt to get a hold of him.

The news provided here is a little different. There are tons of news sources on the internet and if you don't know where to go then check out our links page. What we attempt to bring here is stuff that is not found at other places, but what we think might be interesting for Martial Art fans (and a little funny). Thanks for supporting us!

Bryan Richards Memorial Website

I've been too busy to post updates lately, but I wanted to quickly share a link that was emailed to me recently. The family of Bryan Richards has set up a website in his memory at http://www.geocities.com/bryanrichards2001/home. Check it out, and if you have any information related to the murder, do the right thing and use the contact info on that site to share what you know with the police.

I'll try to post some updates this weekend on what's happening on the NHB boards lately as well.

More on the Rafiel Torre Murder Case

First let's start with a correction on an earlier report I published on March 10. I first stated that Rafiel Torre injured his hand working on his car. That was the story told by Angel Richards, but Torre actually hurt the hand during a bar fight at Margaritaville in Rancho Cucamunga, where Torre worked as a bouncer. During an altercation, he punched a man in the mouth and cut his hand on the man's teeth.

Now, for the new information. I've received confirmation that the reason why Angel Richards' claim on her husband Bryan's $1 million life insurance policy has not been paid is that the insurance company believes she had Bryan Richards killed due to the many inconsistencies in her and Rafiel's stories as told to insurance investigators and police. While this was the most obvious reason for the delay in processing the claim, I wanted to wait for confirmation before writing it.

Another astounding report about the degree to which Angel Richards and Rafiel Torre flaunted their relationship has been sent to me. An informant has told me that only two weeks after the murder of Bryan Richards, his widow Angel purchased his and hers rings at a jewelry store in Ontario, California. Three months after the murder, Angel and Rafiel took a romantic vacation together in Cancún, Mexico. There are photos from this trip that clearly depict the two as an intimate couple and not a friend consoling a grieving widow.

Keep checking this site for more updates on this case as they come in, as we plan to provide coverage of the trial as well once it begins.

Souljacker Exposed!

Barry "Double Dip" Hodge, who tried to scam Todd Atkins out of another $500.00 after Atkins paid him for a lost football wager, was recently exposed as a substance abuser and double dipper. Hodge, aka "Souljacker," who has continually lied about the $500.00 payment, recently broke down in a chatroom and confessed about his drug problems. The group involved in the chat had planned on covering for the double dipper, but they foolishly forgot that trolls are always among them, watching and waiting to expose their lies. Below is a transcript of the chat:

Shocking New Revelations in the Rafiel Torre Murder Case

Some more news on the Rafiel Torre murder case. First, a source has confirmed our earlier scoop about Torre getting beat up in jail. At his last court appearance, Torre had a large bruise on the side of his head and two black eyes, so it appears that the beatings were more severe than what I was first told. His preliminary hearing should take place some time in June, so it looks like Torre is in for some rough times ahead.

After inquiring about the nature of Rafiel Torre's relationship with his victim, Bryan Richards, we've learned that it was Richards gave Torre the money to open his martial arts school and Torre pretended to be his friend while having an affair with his wife, Angel. Bryan Richards' murder, as we'd reported before, was part of a scam concocted by Torre with Angel Richards to collect on a $1 million life insurance policy. The insurance company has still not paid the claim, which has prompted Angel Richards to file a lawsuit against them. That case is still pending in court.

Torre, born Ralph Bartel, was with the brothers of Bryan Richards the night his body was discovered. He accompanied them to the police station nursing a fresh wound on one of his hands. Prior to the murder, Torre had injured the hand while working on his car and had called Bryan Richards, who drove him to the hospital to have the hand treated. The wound had begun to heal, but witnesses noticed fresh blood on Torre's bandage the night of the murder, which might indicate that a struggle took place during the murder and Richards may have attempted to defend himself. Torre attended the victim's funeral, then joined the family to mourn at the Richards residence. He moved in with Angel Richards shortly after.

The most shocking and disturbing news, however, is that Torre's role in the murder has been widely known throughout the mixed martial arts community in California all along. Sources close to LukeBeston.NET have reported that well known promoters, fighters and others in the local MMA scene may have aided in the coverup of this heinous crime.

You owe it to Bryan Richards and his family, in particular his two children, ages 5 and 3.

Rafiel Torre Murder Case Update!

An anonymous source close to the case has approached me with the offer of providing inside information not even available to mainstream media, making LukeBeston.NET the best source of news on the Rafiel Torre murder investigation. Here's what I have so far in the informant's own words:

"Rafiel Torre was having an affair with the victim's wife, Angel Richards. This affair began several months prior to Bryan Richards' murder on December 21, 2001. Bryan was murdered by way of manual strangulation, probably from a rear choke hold. Angel is involved in this murder as well. There was a conspiracy to obtain a $1 million life insurance policy on Bryan Richards. The police are actively investigating her and are hoping to bring charges.

About 1 month ago while incarcerated, Rafiel and Angel got in a fight because Rafiel suspects Angel is already having sex with a mutual friend. Rafiel is pretty pissed about it. Angel is having sex with this friend."

While it's amazing that Rafiel Torre can be angry that the wife of a man he murdered is now cheating on him (what did he expect?), it'll be interesting to see if this has any effect on the trial. LT. Todd Atkins vs Tom Lowe

After a months long cease fire, the feud between respected Japan based MMA reporter Todd Atkins and novelist/international spy Tom Lowe has heated up again. Some choice words:

"Todd ran his big fucking mouth too much. I was trying to be nice to the guy, but then he talked shit to me out of the blue. He started backing down like a bitch when I called him out on it. The guy is a fucking idiot and a pussy."

Fatbody shows "proof" that he trained at RAW

Fightsport.com regular Fatbody finally supplied proof that he trained at RAW. After promising for weeks to scan and post his membership card, he came through with the pic above. Rikuo and others on the forum immediately expressed doubt about the legitimacy of the photo, saying it's just an adult video store membership card. What do you think?
