Welcome to Beston's No Holds Barred! The page was originally known as Thingvold's No Holds Barred. It was started years ago by Shogun of Harlem as a joke in dedication of the Internet's greatest 'Trash Talker', Shaun Andrew Thingvold, then years later the site was rededicated to Australian MMA legend Luke Beston. I want to make it clear that the only affiliation Shaun has with this page is when he sends us an e-mail or posts on the forum. If you are looking for him then leave a message for him on the 'Message Board'. Other than that we can not help you in any attempt to get a hold of him.

The news provided here is a little different. There are tons of news sources on the internet and if you don't know where to go then check out our links page. What we attempt to bring here is stuff that is not found at other places, but what we think might be interesting for Martial Art fans (and a little funny). Thanks for supporting us!

I just checked our traffic stats and thought it was funny that 50% of our search engine traffic comes from people searching for "rafiel torre murder." We should do really well once the trial starts!

I junked the old chat room and installed a nice PHP chat that's faster and less likely to cause browsers to crash. Old timers will really like it because it's sort of like Shimaou's chat--it saves messages for a few days. Check it out.

All that's left are about fifteen or so Hall of Fame posts and then the move will be complete. Maybe then I'll finally add that Trolls Hall of Fame section I've been talking about for years. Shit, that reminds me that we're long overdue for the HoF voting. I'll discuss it with the rest of the crew and see how they want to handle it this year.

Cross-eyed Candyman Abuses Moderator Position!

MMA.tv mod KWJ-K-Dhira recently lost a $1,000.00 bet to Daren over whether Kevin Randleman's "rooftop fight" was real or worked and has refused to pay. When Daren tried to shame the cross-eyed Candyman into paying his debt, KWJ retaliated by freezing his MMA.tv account! After Daren was finally able to post at the UG, he confronted KWJ again and was answered with this threat:

A Blast From the Past: The MMA Debut of MMA.TV mod KWJ-K-Dhira

A member of MMA.TV recently unearthed some hilarious old pictures of an MMA event that took place a few years ago in which MMA.TV moderator KWJ (the cross-eyed one) fought. (Notice the two men laughing in the bottom left corner of the second picture.) Even funnier than the pictures, though, were the recollections posted by people who attended or competed in the event.

"This was literally the funniest 'fight' I have ever seen in my life. The audience was fucking falling out of their chairs the whole time. The show was like 2 years ago. All I remember is that it was absolutely comical. Dhira was throwing kicks like a 4-year-old trying to imitate Bruce Lee, totally missing, then he would fall on his ass. They were slapping and missing like girls. I laughed so hard that I had a headache after the fight."--Tom Lowe

"I actually fought in that event. It really was a strange situation. First of all, the promoter was actually an awesome guy, and he was very professional. The prolem was that about a day or two before the fight, some insurance thing happened and he couldn't get it licensed for a closed fist event. I actually showed up and found out the day of the show. I have never trained for a fight where you can't ever hit a guy. It was a wierd experience. The XCF has actually moved their promotion to the Lake Havasu area, and they have been through a few very successful closed fist shows. I think there is a link somewhere to Xtreme Cage Fighter. Check it out. Also, we were all supposed to fight that evening and we found out early that morning that we were going to have to fight in about 2 hours. It was actually a cool experience though because all of the fighters were really cool guys. Shannon Ritch and I went out to some strip club the night before (Bad move I guess, because I lost), and we met some pretty hot strippers...good times for all involved. There were actually some pretty good fights in the show. That fight was pretty funny though. Those 2 guys had everyone laughing their asses off. The best part was when the black guy tried to high kick the white guy, and he fell flat on his ass...the white guy just looked at him and started to laugh."--mendelson

Fred Column

The new 2004 version of the OG/UG has debuted. Like a master of the carnival shell game, Kirk has once again found a way to charge for items that used to be free. Items like the ability to post pictures that you can do even on Beston's Forum. Hell 99% of the forums out there have that feature. But in Kirik's world it is considered an exclusive. Here are some of the other features -

Notice how so many of the features seem to be based on putting yourself above other members? It is obvious Kirik learned the lessons of apartheid from his youth.

Let's compare the OG with Figthsport -
Fightsport - free speech, post any pictures you want, troll if you want, be critical of fighters if you want.
OG/UG - no trolling, hottie pictures but no nipples unless you pay for pro forum, never criticise a fighter, never criticise an advertiser, a mod can fuck with you however he sees fit.
Cost - UG - $30 this year, will go up in the future. To show you're really dedicated to the sport pick up a Fighter's Notebook for $100 even though you could buy a similar book for $15 - $20.

Fightsport - free.

In the world of the UG/OG people's relative worth is determined by their color, again much like Kirik's native South Africa. At Fightsport everyone has the same rights, including the people that run the place. To any free thinking person the choice is clear.

You are just another hopeful "hero" these chumps have thrown up for slaughter in hopes of claiming a victory over me..Know your role, close your hole and feel lucky to have been considered.

Of course, this would never happen since one is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt who trains with the Gracie family while the other is a ratboy who lives in Michigan and wears hospital pants.
