Welcome to Beston's No Holds Barred! The page was originally known as Thingvold's No Holds Barred. It was started years ago by Shogun of Harlem as a joke in dedication of the Internet's greatest 'Trash Talker', Shaun Andrew Thingvold, then years later the site was rededicated to Australian MMA legend Luke Beston. I want to make it clear that the only affiliation Shaun has with this page is when he sends us an e-mail or posts on the forum. If you are looking for him then leave a message for him on the 'Message Board'. Other than that we can not help you in any attempt to get a hold of him.

The news provided here is a little different. There are tons of news sources on the internet and if you don't know where to go then check out our links page. What we attempt to bring here is stuff that is not found at other places, but what we think might be interesting for Martial Art fans (and a little funny). Thanks for supporting us!

Here is a 'No Holds Barred' Biography of the legend, Shaun Andrew Thingvold. Read how this man became the greatest legend on the internet. Click Here

Lukebeston.TK Ratings Analysis

As reported earlier, Lukebeston.TK now rates among the top 20% of all websites in traffic. Apparently, word of mouth and a genuine desire for the news behind the news are enough to propel a good site into the upper echelons. Many pundits predict that Lukebeston.tk will continue its meteoric rise, despite an overall decrease in internet traffic that has seen several MMA sites, such as maxfighting.com and sherdog, take a hit in the ratings.

Kirik Jenness, owner of MMA.tv, was unavailable for comment.

Is Quincy Rice trying to be a cyber ninja?

Journeyman amateur grappler Quincy Rice, the self-proclaimed "Jiu-Jitsu God" from Michigan (pictured above in hospital pants), has now added another title to his resume of self-appointed honors: Internet detective. In the post below, Quincy claims to be able to trace IP addresses even through proxies!

BB, if you can get his i.p. I can trace it, unless he is using some kind of wickedly anonymous proxy...I can find it through most proxies though..

It isnt hard to find guys like this, you just trace his i.p. then search a martial arts database in the area for his style, that usually narrows it down to two or three schools, then you use his posts to narrow it down even further..

This is how I found out who alot of those anonymous fightsport guys are...

I even know the bastard who owns that site now...His street address, employer, phone numbers and everything..

The guy you are talking about would shit when you called his house like "what up bitch"..heh

It looks like little Q has advanced from WebTV into full fledged hacking. Congratulations from the staff at Beston's NHB!

Lukebeston.tk debuts in Alexa.com's internet ratings!

Check it out http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=www.lukebeston.tk

Lukebeston.TK is now one of the one million most visited sites on the web! This may sound like nothing, but consider that there are an estimated 5-7 million websites online (estimates vary wildly depending on where you read). That places Beston's NHB among the top 20% of all websites in traffic. This is fantastic considering that we don't have a top level domain (.com, .net or .org), Google and other search engines STILL refuse to list us (perhaps because of the .TK domain because they listed us when we were on Geocities), many sites that linked to the site at Geocities/Onecenter have not updated their links to the .TK domain and most of all, we've never spent a penny on the site!

A big thanks to Ted Johnson, Fred, SOH, Big Bird, Tape Lord, Todd Atkins, Chief, Shimora and everyone else that has worked on the site or helped promote it.

Becoming one of the top 10 MMA sites in traffic will be a reality. It's no longer a matter of if, but when.

Frankiscool losing the pounds

The hardest working man on MMA.TV, Frankiscool, has lost 42 pounds since May 2. That is awesome!!!??? We at Beston's would like to congratulate you and tell you keep up the good work. (Maybe you can pass the tips on to Jonwell).

Who spammed Fightsport?

On the night of Oct 11, 2003, the fastest growing MMA Site, Fightsport, was spammed. Coincidently, MMA Moderator Musashi (AKA Tim Goodwin) started a thread on MMA.TV about how much better MMA.TV is because the problems with trolls and spammers are fixed faster. When he was confronted by the SOH, he became very defensive and even threatening. The spammer used the handle "REMMAPS5" and has not yet been identified, but it would appear that Tim Goodwin is prime suspect.

Grandmaster SHIMORA BANNED From MMA.tv!

Legendary cyber ninja and Hall of Famer Shimora was banned from MMA.tv shortly after his call for peace among the MMA forums. No explanation has been given yet for the ban, but the consensus among the MMA online community is that this latest action by the administrators of MMA.tv is nothing short of a travesty. Here are some reactions taken from
Fightsport.com:

"This is an outrage!!"--Takahashi
"Those cockroaches want to go to war, let's go to war!"--Fred, Lukebeston.TK staff
"mma.tv is like a great big pussy just waiting to get fucked."--trimp
"This Kirik guy sounds like a spineless punk and a loser."--So So Cool

Stay tuned for more.

Grandmaster SHIMORA Works For Peace

Hall of Famer SHIMORA has initiated peace talks between Fightsport.com and MMA.tv. He has written out a road map to peace, which is as follows:

"1) The creation of a governing body who's aim is to negotiate any problems that the various forums are having with one another. I am thinking that representatives of Fightsport, MMa.tv and the lesser boards like Sherdog and Mousels could be appointed to a committee. I would call this committe the League of United MMA Forums.

2) Fair trials for anyone who is banned from a forum. No more moderators acting as judge, jury and executioner.

3) The unbanning of several political prisoners who have lost their user names.

4) A link to the other forums on each forum.

If we put these ideas into motion soon we might avoid a lot of bloodshed. I am hearing whispers of a Million Troll March that could bring down some forums if it is not prevented.

Please list any other ideas you have for the road map to peace."

Fightsport.com members, who have been clearly winning this war with MMA.tv, have embraced the roadmap and offered to help MMA.tv out of its doldrums. Sadly, however, MMA.tv members have been less than willing to accept this generous offer.

Fightsport.com Exposes Quincy Rice

Credit to http://www.Fightsport.com:

"Fightsport.com exposed yet another internet warrior known as Quincy Rice. Rice, who has been labeled by many in the MMA community as an 'internet fighter', posed a challenge to Fightsport.com to send one of its reporters to his school in Michigan for a challenge spar of any choosing.

Fightsport.com responded to the challenge and then some. Our beat reporter called 'BIRD' offered to go up there and not only have a boxing sparring match with Rice, but also that he would spar Rice's best student right after!

When Rice read our reply posted at the Underground forum, Rice refused to accept the challenge and the message was quickly deleted by moderators. Lucky for the internet fighter Quincy Rice as BIRD is a very accomplished amateur boxer.

Quincy Rice is also called Quincy 'Spice' by many people in the internet community who are wise to his ways. According to one respected grappling event organizer:

"Rice has actually even competed in some events. He talks a big game but always ends up losing to the legit grapplers. Rice has even lost a spate of grappling matches to Brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belts (laughing). That's the reason why a lot of grapplers and promoters refer to him in private as the 'Grappling Circuit Jobber' (more laughter).""

MMA.tv Sinks To New Low Tactic

MMA.tv, an increasingly irrelevant player in the MMA internet site competition, has resorted to misleading and arguably illegal tactics in order to convince people to pay $25 for one of their "Pro" memberships.

One of the alleged "perks" of the "Pro" membership is access to the vaunted Tapout Forum. On this forum, site members are allowed to post pictures of naked women. (It should be noted that MMA.tv moderator "Musashi" has recently posted a naked man on the forum.)

However, the line was crossed when a site representative assured people that access to the Tapout Forum would also give members access to information on how to illegally steal passwords from other sites. Here is an example of this promise:

Most passwords are no good after a matter of several hours anyway. That's why TapOut opts to explicitly describe how to find your own from the actual sources (web forums, irc, etc).

Since a review of the Tapout Forum revealed that no such description exists, one may assume that this was a deliberate ploy to relieve potential customers of $25 by promising to teach them to break the law.

New MMA Internet Radio Show!

The following announcement was made earlier at Fightsport.com:

Dear Mixed Martial Arts and Combat Sports Fans,
I posted on several message boards a few weeks back about if anyone would have any interest in hearing a 2 hour internet talk radio show which will feature guests, listener enteraction about news and topics effecting the Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing,K-1,etc. We will also be having special guests and news makers on the show along with coaches and trainers to talk training advice. Because the combat sports fans do play combat sports and compete. We are not like Football fans who watch it but don't keep active in the sport. The show will be making it's first airing this Monday night at a special time of 10:30pm central time on Paltalk IM service. The show can be heard via the Jiggy Jaguar website, we have complete tuning details along with replay times and complete schedule of times. We also will be having a newsletter list where we issue news and updates on the show. We welcome all takes and outlooks on different subjects such as "I think Mike Tyson will clean up in K-1", "I think Zuffa sucks and I hate the new UFC" or "I think Zuffa has improved the sport and brought it mainstream."

Access the show's site via http://www.talk.to/jiggyjaguar

Speard the word, now Combat fans have their own place to talk about the sport or smack on the fighters and learn new training tips. We are not like the polished jockridding shows, we tell it like it is.

Thankx,
The Jiggy Jaguar

This project has the full support of LukeBeston.TK, so check the show out and call in!

The Chief Leaves MMA.tv!

Fightsport.com moderator, MMA.tv moderator and MMA journalist The Chief has permanently resigned from MMA.tv after unfair and illogical treatment from MMA.tv owner Kirik Jenness. Jenness, pictured below, removed years of classic Chief work by deleting all of his posts as punishment for what Jenness deemed to be an offensive picture posted by The Chief. The picture in question was of a Kleenex box.
